TeamQuest Provides Missing Link Between IT and Business with BRMI Webinars
October 11, 2016
In our October 28th webinar with the Business Relationship Management Institute, we’ll outline some strategies that companies can use to implement advanced IT processes while keeping costs low.
Advances in technology have raised a number of questions for business leaders and IT leaders alike: how can businesses best integrate advanced IT processes like DevOps into their workplace? How can IT departments demonstrate their value when head management resists infrastructural and procedural change? Does the cloud actually save companies time and money, or merely conceal spending waste
We’ve teamed up with the Business Relationship Management Institute (BRMI) to help answer these questions by putting the spotlight on the space between IT and business. In our upcoming webinar, we’ll discuss how IT organizations can quantify their value and demonstrate their contribution to overall business success.
Converging Business and IT
Business and IT convergence doesn’t happen overnight. According to a recent Claranet survey, only 28% of European IT departments fully understand the needs of the wider business, and only 26% of European IT leaders believe that the business understands IT’s role. However, that doesn’t need to be the case — as we’ll discuss in the webinar, there are many effective methods for fostering IT and business integration.
One proven way for IT departments to demonstrate their value is through the use of business value dashboards (BVDs) like our Vityl Dashboard. BVDs convert complex IT metrics into simple terms of cost and profit, helping IT communicate their impact on business outcomes in real time. In doing so, they help to create a continuous, simple dialogue between IT and the business, so no one is left frustrated by the often obscure terminology used in IT circles.
During the webinar, we’ll further discuss the impact of BVDs and other cost optimization products. We’ll also cover the potential pitfalls and benefits of IT investments such as cloud computing, virtualization, bimodal IT, DevOps, and Agile methodology. These technologies and processes can help a business optimize their IT spend, but only when implemented effectively: we’ll give you the knowledge you need to do just that.
Our webinar will take place on October 28th and begin at 10:00 AM Central Standard Time. You can register for the event here. We look forward to answering your business and IT questions then.
