U.S. Public Sector
To meet the requirements set forth by the President’s Management Agenda, federal government must reduce IT infrastructure costs and improve IT service delivery. TeamQuest is helping federal government agencies consolidate IT infrastructure, reallocate existing IT resources and justify technology purchases for project funding.
Justify technology purchases to the OMB
The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) requires the submission of a business case demonstrating the value of a project before it can receive funding. TeamQuest software can support business cases by providing objective, accurate data to justify technology purchases and substantiate requests. Our software provides the information needed to make confident decisions regarding server consolidation projects, reallocation of underutilized IT resources, and hardware upgrades.
Consolidate Data Center Infrastructure
Consolidation continues to be a hot issue, primarily due to the potential cost-savings in hardware, software, staffing and facilities. Other reasons to consolidate infrastructure include improved manageability, better service, and increased agility to adapt to changing business needs.
To minimize the risks associated with highly consolidated data centers, it is important to identify appropriate candidates for consolidation and understand how combined applications and workloads will compete for resources, so service levels can be maintained. Read more on consolidation

Adopt ITIL best practices
The Federal Enterprise Architecture (FEA) encourages the adoption of ITIL in an effort to control costs and optimize the delivery of IT services. Comprised of seven core areas, ITIL offers structured, scalable, common sense processes that organizations can adopt and adapt to fit their own environment. TeamQuest software supports the ITIL framework, focusing primarily in the Capacity Management and Service Level Management areas of Service Delivery. Read more on TeamQuest and ITIL
Comply with FIPS 140-2 security regulations
Many federal sites are required to use FIPS 140-2-validated encryption for network communications. TeamQuest government solutions were created specifically for the federal government, and use software modules from RSA Security that have been validated by NIST as FIPS 140-2 compliant. When used in accordance with the associated Security Policy, TeamQuest government solutions are capable of using these FIPS 140-2-validated modules to encrypt network communications between components.
