TeamQuest Performance Software Release 10
The pendulum swing toward technology cost containment that occurred after the dot-com era continues to dominate, so it’s no surprise that:
- IT expenditures require more justification,
- Tighter alignment with business priorities is expected, and
- Efficiencies are more closely scrutinized.
At the same time, process standardization is gaining in popularity. ITIL leads the pack in the world of best practice frameworks as IT organizations work to trim the fat and set their sights on business alignment. And risk avoidance has become an important issue as businesses grow increasingly dependent on IT to carry out critical services.
To support IT in this evolving, business-focused environment, TeamQuest has unveiled Release 10. This ground-breaking release is already turning heads. Staying true to core competencies, TeamQuest has delivered a software suite that accommodates the full range of IT professionals, from the business-oriented to the technically-minded.
Behind the Scenes
How did this release come to be? That’s a fun story to tell.
In simplest terms, we asked customers what they wanted, then we delivered it. Sounds easy enough, but this release was a major undertaking. We started two years ago with a huge wish list of capabilities. Distilling that list would be overwhelming if not for three guiding principles:
- Provide enterprise-class software
Issues like heterogeneous platform support, integration with third-party tools, and scalability were always top-of-mind.
- Deliver deep analytics
TeamQuest products have always been about analyzing performance for IT service optimization (ITSO). Features that improved and simplified that analysis got serious attention.
- Support ITSO, ITIL and other best practices
As an IT organization continues to evolve and mature, best practices increase in importance. It was important to support these best practices in a meaningful, practical, efficient manner.
TeamQuest Performance Software Suite Version 10.1
With the introduction of TeamQuest Performance Software Release 10, planning and analysis of IT service performance is now much easier.
This release offers even better support for business-aligned IT service optimization, adding the ability to analyze together the disparate components relating to a service. You can now view each service as a single entity and drill down to the various components that support that service to diagnose failures or slowdowns. Release 10's enterprise-class Capacity Management Database serves up performance data regardless of where it is stored, enabling simplified analysis of distributed heterogeneous components. The rich Web applications provide desktop-quality user interfaces accessible from anywhere via a browser. The highly interactive, drag and drop style interface makes customizing reports with logos and explanatory text much easier.
