TeamQuest Corporation, a global leader in IT Service Optimization, is seeking a Software Test Engineer. The Software Test Engineer (STE) will have experience developing and executing comprehensive suites of automated test cases and test plans. The STE will evaluate manual regression tests and newly integrated features to be added to the existing suite of tests as part of Continuous Integration on Windows and Linux environments. The STE will work closely with software developers, software test engineers and the system team to deliver the highest quality products in a rapid and cost-effective manner. Ideally the candidate would be located either in central/northern Iowa or in the Minneapolis/St. Paul vicinity. TeamQuest customers around the world rely on TeamQuest software solutions to help get the most out of their IT infrastructure and ensure the availability and reliability of enterprise systems.

    Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with 6+ years of experience or equivalent. Master’s degree preferred.
  • At least 6+ years experience in writing, automating and running functional and system test cases.
  • At least 6+ years experience with open source automation tools and familiarity with Selenium, Ruby and Jenkins.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum/Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) software development methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of engineering best practices - requirement gathering and analysis, designing and developing unit tests, participating in code reviews, and documentation.
  • Experience with open source based technology stack and scripting technologies (Linux, oracle, PostgreSQL, Apache, Tomcat, Java, PHP/Ruby) required.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills to determine root cause of complex issues.
  • Experience using code repositories and source control, preferably Mercurial.

As a Software Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of highly skilled engineers developing the latest capacity management software. This role demands broad experience across engineering disciplines including development of new features, QA test and automation development.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Recruit, motivate and coach software engineers with deep technical knowledge
  • Provide project and technical leadership to a group of engineers in a fast-paced environment
  • Coordinate with partner teams, help unblock and resolve cross team issues
  • Coordinate with Product Management, Product Owners, and stakeholders to ensure strategy and execution alignment

The successful candidate will need good knowledge and experience of Unix and Windows, software engineering processes, C or C++, Internet applications and source control processes. Working in a team setting, the candidate must be able to analyze software requirements; define and design software components; produce well documented, quality code that is easy to use and maintain; as well as participate in design and code reviews. In addition to their knowledge of Unix or Windows, it would be a plus if the candidate has good knowledge or experience in statistical methods, queuing theory, capacity planning, J2EE development, VMware, PowerVM, Hyper-V, AIX, Solaris, Linux, HP-UX, network monitoring, SAN storage, and Relational Database Management Systems (Postgres, Oracle, Sybase and Microsoft SQL Server). In addition to these technical skills, the successful candidate must be proficient in problem solving and be able to assist customers with technical issues as needed. Experience with an Agile or Scrum development methodology is preferred. Hands-on experience with automated testing tools, performance and/or security testing is a plus.

Typically a qualified candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Math, MIS or equivalent experience. Typically successful candidates have five or more years of experience in the software development field. Skills that are required include strong verbal and written communication skills and a strong mathematical background.

As a Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring the computing environment including network, servers, workstations and telecommunications systems are operating in an optimal fashion.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Evaluates, designs, maintains, and supports the network, servers, workstations, and telecommunications systems.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and maintain systems and procedures to safeguard internal information systems, network, databases, and Web-based security.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and monitor systems, network, databases and Web for potential system breaches.
  • Respond to alerts from information security tools.
  • Report, investigate and resolve security incidents.
  • Educate and communicate security requirements and procedures to all users and new employees.
  • Recommend and implement changes to enhance systems security and prevent unauthorized access.
